District Conference for the Pacific Northwest District Church of the Brethren is approaching, and we hope you’ll join us to explore these questions and more!

District Conference is an opportunity for District members to come together to reflect on the past year of District life as well as discern together the future for our collection of congregations. Additionally, there will be programs and activities to foster spiritual exploration and nurture our community connections.

This year’s theme is Another Way—let’s imagine new ways forward, for our lives, for our district, and for our world.

Schedule

Friday, August 25th

• Arrive to Camp Koinonia as early as 4pm.
• Dinner at camp at 5:30pm
• Zoom opens at 6:30pm, beginning with fellowship time
• Programming (in-person and Zoom) from 7pm until about 8:30pm

Saturday, August 26th

• Breakfast at camp at 8am
• Programming (in-person and Zoom) begins at 9:30am
• Programming concludes at about 8:30pm, concluding the formal portion of District Conference

Sunday, August 27th

• Breakfast at camp at 8am
• Rather that have a separate worship service at camp, we will have a Zoom connection at camp to worship at a local congregation, with invitations to join in-person as well—stay tuned!
• Depart Camp Koinonia by 12pm

Guest Presenter

On Saturday, we will be joined by Rev. Douglas Avilesbernal, the Executive Minister for the Evergreen Region of the American Baptists, who will share about the “Evergreen Model” of regional organization, as we envision together how the Pacific Northwest District might adapt for the future ahead.

Registration

We have several registration options for those attending this year’s District Conference! All registrations, including a la carte options, include the full weekend of program activities.

Standard Registration: $122 per person

This includes lodging at Camp Koinonia both Friday and Saturday nights, as well as 5 meals (Friday dinner through Sunday breakfast)

Discounted Registration: $61 per person or no cost

Our district does not want financial concerns to ever be a barrier to full participation, and so we are offering two discounted options: 50% off and no-cost attendance. These discounted options are available to all, and you are welcome to select them during registration!

A la carte options

If you plan on only staying one night, lodging elsewhere, or only joining for a few meals, you’ll find a la carte options that you can build your custom stay for. You can select individual lodging nights ($45 per night) and a custom number of meals ($6.75 per meal), to create the plan that fits your needs best. Any a la carte option includes the full weekend of program activities.

Additional Donation: any amount

If you have the financial means and would like to contribute an additional amount, you are welcome to do so by selecting this as an additional ticket option, and donating whatever amount you would like! Proceeds from these donations are used to offset both the discounted registration options we provide and other program costs.
