“Bearing Fruit”
2022 District Conference

our District’s annual gathering, fully online with Zoom

Friday, September 16th – 6-8pm Pacific time
Saturday, September 17th – 10am-4pm Pacific time

Jeremiah 17:8
They will be like a tree planted by the water
    that sends out its roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes;
    its leaves are always green.
It has no worries in a year of drought
    and never fails to bear fruit.

On September 16th and 17th, our District will come together for our annual District Conference.

This will be a time of exploration and discernment, song and conversation, direction and inspiration. Our conference will be gathered around Jeremiah 17:8, a verse that sings of rejuvenation in times of adversity and perseverence towards possibility. Our time together will not only provide space for discerning and directing the future of our district, but also rejuvenating all those who attend.

We will begin Friday evening with a conversation with David Steele, the Church of the Brethren’s General Secretary, followed by a worship service.

On Saturday, our time will begin with enriching programming, including a discussion with Tim McElwee, the Church of the Brethren’s new moderator. Saturday afternoon, we will turn our attention to the business of the district, charting a course forward for years ahead.

All throughout the district are welcome to join, and participation is free. This year’s conference will be fully online, through Zoom.

Proposed Revisions to Constitution & By-Laws

As part of our District Conference, we will be considering potential revisions to our District’s constitution and by-laws. The following PDFs present these changes. The first document highlights changes, with removed text stricken out and added text in italics and greent font. The second document presents all proposed changes in a clean version.
