COVID-19 Protocols

COVID-19 safety protocols in place at Annual Conference will depend on the local and national transmission rates during the time of Annual Conference. Depending on the severity of outbreaks by late June, the Programs & Arrangements Committee will announce which COVID-19 plan will be in effect for Annual Conference 2022 (blue, yellow, orange, red).

The full COVID-19 protocol plan can be found here, including descriptions of what each possible plan level will entail.

The criteria to determine which plan will be in place will use county-level transmission metrics provided by the CDC. A map of these county-level transmission rates can be found here.

Online Attendance

This year, the options for online attendance will be more restricted than the 2021 Annual Conference.

At present, there are only plans to allow for online attendance for non-delegates. Non-delegates attending online may or may not have access to the same breadth of programs and events that in-person non-delegates will be able to access.

Online attendance will be offered for delegates if and only if the highest level of COVID-19 protocols is in effect. This plan will be in effect if either 10% or more of US counties are experiencing “high” levels of COVID-19 transmission as defined by the CDC, and/or if the Omaha area is experiencing this “high” level of COVID-19 transmission.

A map of county-level transmission levels for the United States can be found here.

If you register for online attendance as a non-delegate and online delegate attendance later becomes an option, you will have the opportunity to change your registration from “online non-delegate” to “online delegate.”
